GH3 with RED Scarlet

I have been looking for a small light B camera to match my Red Scarlet footage, Mainly for when Im on the road for quick pick up shots and during weddings for faster set up times.

Only camera I think that really matches the RED footage is the BMCC and the F3 with slog. Both cameras are just as heavy and still awkward sizes, plus the media and battery solutions are a hassle for a quick B camera..

so not much help.

I always thought the GH2 hacked looked pretty good and really cheap, but didn't want the hassle or worries of the hack

So I bought the GH3 and tested it out, tweaking all the profiles 'Vivid', 'Portrait' etc and I think I got a pretty close match.

This is the setting Ive found best to close match my RED Scarlet:

I quite like the in camera slow motion...I sometimes use it in 48%. Saves hassle later on rather then conforming all your slow motion files from 50p to 25p

The quality is better to shoot slow motion in MOV mode at 50fps, for graded. But I haven't noticed a hugh difference while I've edited my files.

the plan for my b cam was the Black Magic Pocket Camera, but it wasn't out at the time...plus who knows if they will ship on time.

But even when it does ship...the BMPC has no slow motion, only 30p

Here is some weddings i shot, edited...a mix of GH3 footage with my RED Scarlet:
